The European Union could “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unjustified” visa bans issued by the United States on five European individuals working on combating online hate and disinformation, an EU official stated.

European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans were placed on figures that were at the heart of campaigns to enact legislation governing US-based technology firms.
